Biochemistry Club The Biochemistry Club gives students an introduction into the wide range of professions a biochemistry degree offers. Speakers from the U and other companies are brought in, and tours are organized of pharmaceutical companies around the Twin Cities area. Anyone is welcome to join, a biochemistry major is not required. Biological Sciences Student Association (BSSA) To provide student representation within CBS and the University, to promote a sense of community about CBS, and to keep students informed about campus and community events. Biology Club We are here to promote the fields within biology. Our mission is to give younger undergrads the experience they need to decide on majors and life careers in order to graduate within 4 years. We will accomplish that by giving students to do research, participate in activities and hearing from professors and other peers. We believe the most important thing to improving our understanding of the world is people. Environmental Studies Club The purpose of the environmental studies club is to bring together a wide variety of people dedicated to exploring, preserving, and protecting the environment and natural resources through camping trips, guest speakers, thoughtful discussions, and various outdoor activities. Microbiology Club The club is a great way of learning about microbiology and the cutting research that is being done on our campus and in the surrounding area. We meet once every month. At the meeting we have microbiologists from different careers and educational backgrounds come to speak to the group regarding their research, schooling, and career choice. Twice per semester we tour local microbiology-related commercial or governmental institutions and their facilities. Whether you're a major, non-major, faculty member or a graduate student-everyone is welcome! Society of Physics Students Society of Physics Students is a social and academic group that provides opportunities to those interested in physics to connect with eachother and society through social activities, outreach programs, and by providing a local space for members to hang out and talk or study. Society of Physics Students is not limited to Physics majors, but is open to anyone with an interest in physics and becoming part of our group.
