Many students choose to transfer to the College of Biological Scineces to pursue various CBS majors.  Keep in mind that pre-health programs do not care which major you choose.

To transfer to CBS studnets need:

1)  One semester of General Biology with Lab - Biol 1001, Biol 1002W, Biol 1009 or an equivalent course from another institution*. PSTL 1131 is also acceptable.  Bio 1009 is your best bet since Bio 1002W is no longer offered and Bio 1001 is a terminal course.

2)  One semester of Gernal Chemistry with Lab - Chem 1021 or an equivalent course from another institution.  Chem 1011 will NOT count toward this.

3)  One semester of Calculus - Math 1271, Math 1281, Math 1371 or an equivalent course from another institution. A Math 1142 equivalent course will be accepted for admission but it is not recommended as preparation for Calculus II.

Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater will be admitted with two admission courses completed and the third course in progress by the application deadline. Students applying with less than 26 semester credits completed must submit high school information and will be reviewed based on a combination of the transfer admission requirements and freshman admission requirements.
