Amihan grew up all over (as a foreign-service brat) but considers "home" to be Madison, WI, where she went to grad school in physics and atmospheric science. [Her primary school teachers, who wisely put her in remedial math, would be proud.] Other interests include the environment, art, politics, good grammar, and food: making food, eating food, and food politics. When not working or sleeping, Amihan is probably sewing, planning her next meal, or reading.
Amihan has experienced the student/teacher continuum from many points, most recently as a Physics professor at Gustavus Adolphus college. She has also taught high school physical science (and trained teachers) as a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon, and has trained tutors with the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Peer Mentor-Tutor Program. She's excited to be working more closely with students again at the U!
