Katie is originally from Sauk Centre, MN, which is the birthplace of Sinclair Lewis and home of the Original Main Street(Go Streeters!!). She graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2003 with a major in Political Science with an emphasis in philosophy.

After graduation, Katie explored the corporate world, having worked at both Saint Paul Travelers (now Travelers) and General Mills. While she enjoyed the corporate experience, Katie realized that life is more than Cheerios and that her real passion is working with college students. She moved to Seattle and pursued a master’s degree in Student Development Administration at Seattle University.

Katie is excited to be back in Minnesota working with CLA students at the University of Minnesota. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping, and playing the piano. She never misses an episode of "The Office". Katie loves chatting and meeting with her students...stop by and say hi!
